Research Director at the Institute for International Legal Studies (ISGI) of the National Research Council (CNR)

Valentina Della Fina is a Research Director at the Institute for International Legal Studies and a member of the Institute’s Council.
At the time being she is responsible of the ISGI-CNR Project titled “Multilevel protection of human rights in international, European and national law” and participates in the ISGI-CNR Project on “International Law, Law of International Organizations, EU Integration Process: The Role of Italy and National Practice on Implementation”.
She is also a member of the ISGI-CNR research group within the European Project “Judging the Charter – the Charter in judicial practice with a special focus on the case of protection of refugees  and asylum seekers” (JUST/2015/JTRA/AG/EJTR/8682)  and of the ISGI-CNR research group within the Project ISGI-Ministry of Economic Development on “Collaboration for the dissemination and implementation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises”.
She coordinates the ISGI-CNR group of research that prepares the annual report on the Italian contemporary practice of international humanitarian law for the Yearbook of International Humanitarian Law (T.M.C. Asser Institute, The Hague). 
She is a member of the ISGI-CNR team of experts within the initiative “EU Non-Proliferation Consortium. The European Network of Independent Non-Proliferation Think-Tanks”.
In 2014, she was the project manger of the European project “Promoting Equal Rights for People with Autism in the Field of Employment and Education” (JUST/2013/PROG/AG/5004/NGOS). In 2008, she coordinated the ISGI-CNR project “The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Implementation at National and Regional Levels, and Monitoring Mechanisms”. From 2002 to 2008, she coordinated the ISGI research group within the CNR Project “Protection of human health and the environment, and genetically modified organisms”, publishing the Project’s scientific results.
She participated in the following ISGI-CNR Projects: “Forms and instruments of international cooperation: Italy’s contribution” (2005-2011) and “Environmental law and sustainable management of ecosystems and natural resources” (2005-2012). She participated in the ISFOL-ISGI Project for the elaboration of the Reports to the Italian Parliament on “The implementation of the Law No. 68 of 12 March 1999, concerning the right to work of persons with disabilities (years 2008-2009)” and “The politics on disability in Italy (years 2006-2008)”.
She is a lecturer of the Second-Level Master’s Program in “International Protection of Human Rights-Maria Rita Saulle” (Sapienza University of Rome) and a member of the Master’s teaching-scientific Council.
She was a lecturer of International Law at Link Campus University of Rome (2003-2010) and at University of Perugia (2003-2004).
