Young Lawyers’ Symposium (YLS) – Call for Abstracts
The ECSL is delighted to announce that the sixth edition of the Young Lawyers’ Symposium (YLS) will take place, also in 2021. In the context of the covid-19 outbreak, please note that we have again decided to organise the event remotely on 15 October 2021.
The 2021 YLS
The YLS 2021 will centre around three themed panels, which will consider legal aspects relating to:
1. The legal consequences of non-binding legal instruments in space law
2. Do we need a new legal regime for Mars?
3. New legal aspects of Satellite Remote Sensing
Young scholars and professionals (35 and under) are invited to submit a 500-word abstract on a topic relating to the theme of one of the three panels. Selections of speakers will be made on the basis of their submitted abstract. The abstract should give an indication of what the speaker will address in a 10min presentation.
The call for abstracts is now open until 8 August 2021 at 23.59 (CET). We aim to inform selected authors by 13 September 2021.
