Hungary’s Actions Regarding Refugees and Their Connection to European Human Rights Standards 23 June, 2017 Roma h. 10.00
Several countries all over Europe amended their own asylum system in the last couple of years.
One of them is Hungary, which built a fence on its southern border, introduced numerous repressive rules and started an action for annulment against the EU quota system at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
The lecture tries to summarize the most important actions (including legislative changes as well as political aspects of the problem)and also give some overview on the problematic nature of their relations to the EU rules and the European Convention on Human Rights.
